How do I make a reservation?

From www.cigarmountainhouse.com select the “Book Now” tab. Follow steps to find available days, confirm and make payment

What are our rates?

Our rates do vary by season. Rates are higher at busier times like the annual chili cook-off, October or March- April, holidays, weekends etc. There will also be a cleaning fee per stay, a pet fee if you are bringing a pet, and a processing fee. All fees will be included in your total before confirming your reservation. There is the possibility of additional fees being charged to you in the event of property damages, items removed from the property, etc

Where is Cigar Mountain House located?

The address is 23031 FM 170 Terlingua, Tx 79852. We are conveniently located between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend State Park. We are minutes from the Ghost town of Terlingua, and a few minutes more from the town of Study Butte.

What are your business hours?

We are available 8 am to 5 pm for non-emergency situations. Please email for the fastest response from us.

Are your properties pet friendly?

Nope! It's for the safety of your four footed friends that they stay home. The National park has such limited access for pets, the terrain and the heat are very good reasons to just leave fluffy home!

What accommodations can I expect at Cigar Mountain House? Is the entire place included in the rental?

YES! You will have access to the entire property, we do not split the property for multiple guests or smaller parties. The property is “villa style” meaning each room has an exterior entry door, all opening to the central courtyard. See attached amenities list. TLDR version AC, WIFI, Pool, and adventure – YES!

I heard it’s not safe to visit the border, how safe will I be?

We hear this all the time, and it is very frustrating. You are no less safe here than when you are at home. In fact, it is safer to visit here than many other tourist destinations around the world. You can be assured that the locals, on BOTH sides of the Rio Grande are friends, neighbors and generally good salt of the earth folks.
